ACTIVE COVID-19 CASES IN ZAMBOANGA CITY IS NOW 1,373!
ACTIVE CASES NOW TOTAL 1,373: As of September 24, 2021, confirmed COVID-19 cases for Zamboanga City totaled 14,713, as 132 new cases, 46 new recoveries and 7 new deaths were recorded.
Of the total confirmed cases, 1,373 are ACTIVE cases, 12,657 are recoveries and 683 are mortalities.
Community transmission remains the main cause of infection as 1,351 are from the community and 22 are authorized person outside residence or APOR.

Camp Navarro, Calarian, Zamboanga City – May 24, 2022 The Western Mindanao Command’s Joint Task Force Central launched preemptive military operations to prevent the Daulah Islamiyah-Turaifie Group (DI-TG) led by Esmael Abdulmalik, a.k.a. Abu Turaifie, from harassing communities after they were sighted in Sitio Patawali, Barangay Ganta, Datu Salibo, Maguindanao on Monday morning, May 23, 2022. The newly installed JTF Central Acting Commander, Brig. Gen. Eduardo Gubat confirmed that an armed confrontation transpired between the troops of the 6th Infantry Battalion and an undetermined number of DI-TG members at the abovementioned barangay. “Our troops from the 6th Infantry (Redskin) Battalion under Lt.
